To me Art is a means to express the untold stories in me.
Sometimes or most of the times I feel that I am a story teller rather than a painter, because I try to convey a story through paintings. The roots for these stories are mostly from my childhood Sunday evenings, which I spent listening to All India Radio Visakhapatnam and Hyderabad channels particularly the Harikatha (Story of Hari 'the God'). Harikatha is a composite art form comprising of story telling, poetry, music, drama, dance, and philosophy.

My painting style is influenced by Disney's cartoons, which I used to religiously follow and used to draw its characters in my notes during the class breaks during my school days. The bold colours which I use in specified areas and the black lines are from the above influences and fantasies of my childhood which is still the secret behind the enthusiasm in me even today. It's the same which I used to have as a child while filling the colours in the specified areas like circles, squares etc.,

I love to work with acrylics because they suit my kind of paintings and style, they dry fast unlike oil colours and they can be modified unlike water colours. The tools I use the most are the knife and brushes, knife is the best expressive tool that I use because it gives me the edge, depth and space to work with.

Even though in my initial stages where I followed and copied Turner, Constable, Monet and Rembrandt, the artists most influenced me are the Paul Gauguin, M. F Hussain and Dash Murumu my applied art teacher whose works and style created an impression in my mind.
